BHARATPUR - FEBRUARY 5

I visit the Keoladeo National Park, where it is possible to see lots of birds,

among them Siberian Cranes.

The girls decide to drive to Deeg and may be visit the park later, so I go on my own. I first hire a cycle rickshaw and the guy, who is kind of a guide too, shows me quite a lot of birds.

Still, there is not much water in the park for two reasons: the water was diverted some years ago by local farmers and the monsoon was not plentiful last year, so the birds flew to other places and there are not many to be seen there. .

The landscape must be so beautiful with more water.

In the afternoon, I hire a bike and ride on my own, till the end of the park.

At some stage, I can even spot a python sleeping in the sun, thanks to a French guy who has a guide with him. I can also see deer and a jackal and of course, numerous monkeys and cows.

I spend the whole day in the park and do not meet the girls at all. In fact, they did not visit the park at all, as they stopped at a market on the way back from Deeg.
